Artist Statement
Welcome to Wonderland
Hope is a transformative force, one that flows through every brushstroke. Inspired by the breathtaking wonders of the natural world, my paintings are an invitation to experience the beauty, joy, and serenity I find in the world around us.
In the hustle of modern life, we often forget to pause and appreciate the subtle magic that nature offers. Through my work, I aim to share this beauty through a lens of joy, encouraging others to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover what truly matters. My art is not just about what is seen—it’s a reminder of the hope and wonder that life has to offer.
For two decades, I put my passion for art on hold, chasing what I thought was more important. Yet, something was always missing. Eight years ago, I picked up my paintbrush again, and the journey back to my true calling has been nothing short of transformative. Art is the language of my soul, and it has been a joy to rediscover its power. I invite you to join me on this path, to experience the joy and freedom that art brings.
Nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, where I grew up, I find endless inspiration in the vibrant landscapes, wildflowers, and wildlife that surrounds me. Every corner of this beautiful region offers a new canvas for exploration, and I am forever grateful to call it home.
I am proud to be a member of The Federation of Canadian Artists, The Okanagan Artists of Canada, and The Vernon Chamber of Commerce. My work can be found at various locations around the Okanagan, including my studio at Gallery Vertigo in Vernon, The Vibe, Okanagan Gift Co. in The Village Green Mall, Evolve Studio on Silver Star Mountain, Friesen’s Country Time Gardens, Apple Valley Automotive, and previously at The Armstrong Art Gallery, Creative Chaos, and The Okanagan Artisan Show.
My journey as an artist is a lifelong pursuit and I will create for as long as I live, embarking on a journey into the realm of possibility. Join me in a world where imagination becomes reality—each painting is the beginning of a story waiting to unfold.
